Sonic Kart like an Egyptian

Posted on August 21st, 2012 by Ultimo

Hey guys, Ultimo here with your update on what’s going on over at the GAretro YouTube channel. I love Rainbow Road, it’s always my favorite course in every Mario Kart game. Everyone complains about Rainbow Road and says that it is the worst course in the game! These players are just wussies who suck at video games. Be amazed as I mop the floor with everyone in the second Mario Kart Double Dash video. Also, Adrian will be providing a play by play live from Mexico as well. Then infiltrate Dr. Eggman’s Pyramid base in part 5 of Sonic Adventure 2. The 3 Pyramid levels in the game are some of my favorite levels in any video game so you’re in for a treat. Check back everyday for more videos! Keep leveling up!

Favorite Boss Battles: Sasuke vs. Itachi

Posted on September 17th, 2012 by Ultimo

Hey guys, Ultimo here again with a new video series on the GAretro YouTube channel. I love boss battles; many times they are my favorite parts of a game. Not all boss battles are created equal. Some are hard; some are easy. Some have multiple phases; some have you memorize attack patterns. Then some even manage to leave a major impact on you and become the key moment you always remember when you think back on a game. We all have a favorite boss, and whether our reason for liking it is the game play, presentation, the music, or the significance in the game’s story. Or sometimes your enemy has been taunting you the entire game, and this is your one chance to settle the score once and for all in a final battle royal! Boss battles are epic. The first boss that i would like to highlight in this series actually comes from a game based on a popular anime series. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 is one of the few anime games I have played where I have gotten exactly what I wanted. The control is tight, the graphics are beautiful, and it manages to present the story better than most games games I have played that are based around an anime. There is even an option to change the voice-overs to the original Japanese cast; which I find much less annoying than the localized cast. Every boss battle in this game is worth mentioning, but in the end my favorite has got to the epic fight for revenge between the two Uchiha brothers: Sasuke and Itachi. **Major Spoiler Alert** This fight is shown in full in the video below. Stay tuned for my next video in my “Favorite Boss Battles” series next week where I take a look at Kirby’s Adventure for the NES. That’s it for now but until next time keep leveling up gamers!

Hello everyone, and welcome to my first video for GARETRO.COM. I thought a lot about what my first video would be about and I actually recorded quite a bit of video trying to figure out what worked the best. I finally settled on a quick MMORPG introduction and overview. Anyone who knows me could tell you that I have played almost every MMORPG out there and I wanted to share some of my thoughts about the genre. This video will go over what an MMORPG is, how they function, and the pros and cons of playing these games.

So sit back, relax and enjoy the fantastic jump cuts from my amateur video editing skills!

Also, since this is my first vid, if you could, leave some comments to let me know how I can make these videos better for you, the viewer!

It’s been a while for a LOT of things. I’ve been tremendously busy with trips and pre-convention preparations, so here’s a good way to unwind: some LIVE ACTION CYBER CHATTING. Catch up on ALL the hot E3 action and hear impressions on TONS of stuff!

The Cyber Zone: PRE-3 MADNESS

Posted on June 6th, 2013 by Sack

Here we go! This is the big one! Let the speculation begin!

UPDATE: We’re having technical difficulties, and we’ll be with you as SOON as possible. Sorry for the delay! Apparently, tonight is a bad night for Google Hangouts to work, according to a search regarding the issue.

Man. Here’s one of my favorite games on the SNES. Here’s a video of me telling you how it’s one of my favorite games. Enjoy!

Man, this is a game I used to play a LOT. Like, a LOT A LOT. In fact, it still may be the Mario game I’ve played the most, though not quite my favorite. Still, it holds a special spot in my heart just because it was something I was really into as a kid, so maybe you’ll get the chance to check it out and see if you enjoy it or not! Here we goooo!

The Cyber Zone – Brisket Kids

Posted on May 9th, 2013 by Sack

Oh man! More Cyber Zone? You betcha! We’re starting a bit early tonight, so tune in for hot Cyber Action starting at 9 MST!

I find that it works out in my favor to play games that other people might not want to play.  I’ve also found that when I do so with someone who I find to be hilarious, the results are extremely good. That is the reason why I am continuing to do thorough Let’s Play videos with my good friend Pat!  Previously bringing you a hot session of 19-steamy episodes for Aliens Colonial Marines, we have been focusing our recent efforts on The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct for the XBox 360.  While the game isn’t perfect by any stretch, we’re having a good time, and hope to bring you laughter and tears as you join us on an unforgettable journey to a bunch of very forgettable southern towns that are dealing with the Zombie outbreak.

Check out Episode 1 below, and be sure to watch the whole playlist to catch up with all the necessary drama and find out if your favorite characters are dead!

Let’s Play: Klonoa goes to the carnival!

Posted on August 17th, 2012 by Ultimo

Hey guys, me again with more from my Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil Let’s Play series. Today we go to the Joliet fun park, one of my favorite levels. It’s at this point in the game where the levels start to get pretty long; some took me as long as half an hour when I first played through the game. I have the next few parts of this series recorded, but for now I am going to focus more on the Sonic and GAretro commentaries videos. Fear not, though, I am not abandoning this series and you will see it again soon. That’s it for today. Catch you guys later! Unless you’re a Mew, then I want to catch you right now! *Throws Masterball*

Hey gamers! I am here today once again to tell you what’s going on over at the GAretro youtube page, and boy, do I have a treat for you, my friends! Rex Ronan: Experimental Surgeon for the Super Nintendo is the perfect combination of Contra and health class (FINALLY!). Join the GAretro crew as we learn about all of the dangers of smoking cigarettes; such as: yellow teeth, black lungs, and robots in your mouth. This is truly a unique game to say the least. Lined up for the rest of this week, I have more Mario Kart and Sonic videos for you, so make sure to check back regularly. That’s all for now- so until we meet again, keep leveling up!

Hey guys! Ultimo here again with more from my Sonic Adventure 2 series. We start out this episode with the worst level in the worst world in the game in my opinion: Aquatic Mine. For those of you unfamiliar with this level, the best way for me to describe it is to compare it to Ocarina of Time’s water temple. This is the only part of the game I do not look forward to every time I play; this level is hard to get around, has an annoying theme, and has water. After we’re finished with Aquatic Mine we get back into the main storyline, and play as Tails to help Sonic find the President’s limousine. That’s all for today! Stay tuned for more Sonic Adventure 2. Keep leveling up!
