Why I Love the 32X

Posted on September 15th, 2012 by MisterRadon

The Sega Genesis 32X was a bad console. It came out far too late, cost way too much, and had almost no games (only 40 total worldwide) released in the 11 months that it was on shelves. You had to already own a Genesis to have a functioning 32X (which launched at $159), and 6 of those 40 games also required you to have a Sega CD hooked up as well. Assuming you purchased all of these things at launch, you’d have paid roughly $700 plus tax to play Slam City with Scottie Pippen. I know for that much money you may be inclined to think I mean that Scottie Pippen would come to your house and play Slam City with you, but you’d be even more disappointed in that case.

But it totally feels just as real!

Hey guys! Ultimo here again with more from my Sonic Adventure 2 series. We start out this episode with the worst level in the worst world in the game in my opinion: Aquatic Mine. For those of you unfamiliar with this level, the best way for me to describe it is to compare it to Ocarina of Time’s water temple. This is the only part of the game I do not look forward to every time I play; this level is hard to get around, has an annoying theme, and has water. After we’re finished with Aquatic Mine we get back into the main storyline, and play as Tails to help Sonic find the President’s limousine. That’s all for today! Stay tuned for more Sonic Adventure 2. Keep leveling up!

Let’s Play: Sonic 3 and Double Dash

Posted on August 9th, 2012 by Ultimo

Hey gamers! Ultimo here once again with your update on all GAretro has to offer on YouTube. Today we have part 8 of Sonic 3 & Knuckles, where we take on Airman’s level… Er… Flying Battery zone- which has some of the most questionable bosses Dr. Eggman has ever created! Also new to GAretro commentaries we have Mario Kart: Double Dash with a larger group of people than we’ve ever had playing! Join us for the highspeed mayhem that can only be found in Mario Kart, and also plenty of profanity, which comes along with Mario Kart as well. We used a new method of recording audio when playing Double Dash and while it is clear, it is also quieter than the previous videos so make sure to turn your volume up a bit! I have 2 more Mario Kart videos ready for you guys so make sure to keep an eye out for those in the upcoming weeks. That’s all for today! Keep leveling up gamers!

Hey gamers, Ultimo here with a new Sonic Adventure 2 part for you to watch and enjoy! In this episode, we witness the destruction of Prison Island, play a Halloween themed Knuckles level for some reason– and then Dr. Eggman makes everyone freak-the-flicky-out by destroying half of the Moon with his “Eclipse Cannon” that definitely does not remind me of the Death Star in the slightest. Also stay tuned for more gameplay videos! I’ve got more Scott Pilgrim lined up and also a few matches of Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters. That’s all for now! Catch you guys later and keep leveling up!

Pre-E3: What’s going to happen?

Posted on June 5th, 2011 by Sack

Wow.  So this year has flown by quickly.  I remember the last E3 when they had announced the 3DS, shown the Move and Kinect, and now they’re all out, just waiting to have their futures expanded upon.  Well, that’s what I think will be a large part of this E3, anyway. Read more »
